Founder & CEO
Michael brings more than 45 years of entrepreneurial and operational experience spanning civil design, commercial landscaping, manufacturing, and real estate development. A University of Kansas graduate, he has built and led successful companies, guided complex infrastructure projects, and developed patented technologies that merge practical field knowledge with advanced computational design.
Under Michael's direction, Meridian Intelligence operates at the intersection of engineering, data science, and human creativity—developing intelligent tools that empower professionals to design, build, and think with greater clarity and purpose.
Senior Survey Advisor
Steve brings over 40 years of professional surveying experience to Meridian Intelligence. A Kansas Licensed Surveyor since 1984 (LS #852), he has dedicated his career to the art and science of land surveying—from records research in courthouse vaults to managing complex infrastructure projects.
His career includes leadership roles at Schmitz King & Associates and project work for firms including Burns & McDonnell, Black & Veatch, and HNTB. Steve currently practices with BHC Engineers and Surveyors while advising on TerraCAD development.
Our team's surveying heritage spans three generations. We understand this profession not as observers, but as practitioners who have set monuments, traced historic surveys, and spent decades translating field observations into finished documents. That hard-won knowledge informs every algorithm we build.
